Perhaps America should have thought of all the blatantly obvious flaws in allowing any old tom dick or Harry to own a gun when allowing the continuation of an archaic amendment.
If you own a gun you should have had to pass so many tests and pay so much money that it's not worth the hassle unless you need one as a farmer, game hunter (food not sport) or armed forces. You should also only be issued rubber bullets if you 'need one for protection' as the aim is never to kill a potential attacker but to incapacitate them so they can't hurt you and the police can apprehend them.
America needs to pull its finger out and stop worrying about hurting it's citizens feelings. They'll be thankful when they no longer have to worry whether or not their dc will make it home from school - my aunt has this worry all the time since her dc go to one of the mass shooting schools
