Someone posted on fb today that they were angry their child had been given a cupcake with chocolate icing by another child, because it undermined the healthy eating message that they were keen to teach their child...

Is it me or is that way over the top?

Offer her child a slice of treacle tart next time you see them

Is she the sort of parent who thinks that fruit should only be given as an occasional treat, as it contains sugar? I saw a documentary about healthy eating for kids once, and there was someone on there who genuinely didn't give her kids fruit, except on "special occasions". Poor mites got really excited about an apple.

I was making a funny about over the top, icing on the... ok, it wasn't really a very good joke.

I got an angry with a muffin once.

It blatantly claimed to be chocolate chip muffin but was there a single chocolate chip to be found? No there was not!

I had words, it just looked at me with its sullen muffiny face.
