AIBU to ask DH to wear pants in the Kitchen?

It's hot here at the moment. Aircon set to 25, outside temos above 40.
DH gets home from work, has a shower, and then wanders around starkers. We have one big lounge/dining room/ kitchen.
AIBU to ask him to put some pants or shorts on? He says he's just showered, so clean. I want his arse covered when sitting at the table, or in the kitchen. Who IBU?

My Dh sheds pubes like it's going out of fashion even with pants on, so I'd be most unimpressed if he decided to waft around the kitchen starkers. So no, yandbu

Can you get clumsy with cutlery? A few forks flicked carelessly in his direction might remedy the problem.

My OH used to come home from work and spend the evening in his boxers and shirt. Stopped after I didn't think, ( literally forgot), and showed in an insurance man who'd turned up to see him.

I'd want pants on, both in the kitchen and on furniture.

We make jokes about whether the cats are leaving chocolate kisses on the furniture. It's just a bit yuk

No, i dont think you are. I wouldn't like it. What do the children think? I have to say, it would not be my thing. Its hardly an attractive piece of equipment. Most probably just me but it would put me off my dinner ffs! There is a time and place. I assume he also needs to go to the toilet in that time yuk yuk!!

I wouldn't want him to either as I don't like the idea of hair everywhere - isn't he worried the kettle might splash him?!

Mind you, I don't let the dog on 'my' sofa as I don't want his bare bottom on it so I might be being a bit precious.

I think YABU, but then I am frequently nude in my own home. Never once in all the years since I left my parents and was able to wander about starkers have I soiled any furniture or contaminated food with pubes (not sure how this would happen) or any of the other things I've seen posters worry about on past threads of this ilk. My toddler is completely unfazed by nudity.

Do you not have windows? Or neighbours?

I'm no prude but I do think overexposure is not sexy and a health and safety issue! I don't want it winking at me whilst eating dinner, just NO!

Buy him a posing pouch if his nakedness offends you.

I love wandering around the house naked. So free and no sticky clothing during hot days.

DD is unphased by nudity as well. This summer was hot, we had days when we were all naked (except DD who had a diaper on). I don't sit on furniture unless a soft blanket is underneath when I'm naked though because it's rough and scratchy (compared to cotton fabrics). Anyway, never contaminated anything.

The only time I had a close call was when DB popped by while I was in the shower and DH let him in without letting me know he was here. I got out, wandered to the next room and luckily heard them talking before I entered the next room where they were. Scolded DH, and now DB shouts really loud when he comes in "Senpai I'm here! Don't be naked!"

I wouldn't be too impressed to be honest - but then my DH is a 20ish stone hairy balding fat lazy ugly %#^*} (trying to get rid of him but he won't leave hence my opinion of him!) and so not a pretty sight to have walk g naked around in the house. I hate it and embarrassed (as are the kids) when he walks around in a pair of slightly too small for him boxers that are fading, occasionally marked () and/or have little holes everywhere in them. No need!

Now if I were married to Brad Pitt/George Cloony is cope with him walking around starkers. Presuming op isn't married to one of them I'm saying YANBU - tell him to get some clothes on!!

I feel the same about my almost teenage son. Even if he has just had a shower, the area being sat upon will be damp and that means bacteria.

Animals can't reasonably be asked to wear pants and normally cover their bums with their tails, which helps a bit.

People however need to use some kind of clothing as we don't have tails.

Just pants is fine. It's not the fact it's a bum, or a willy - it's the fact it will be moist.

I wouldn't like it and I love sexy nakedness, but there is a time and a place.. It takes away the mystery of it all and just doesn't look nice. Clothes are good! Plus when he farts it'll go directly into the couch

If you're a prude, then I am too. I would find it a bit odd and distracting if there were no sexy shenanigans in the offing! Plus DH is quite hairy - I don't need him AND the cat shedding everywhere!

I always just ask ds if he would like me to do the same.

This sends him rocketing up the stairs to find some pants.
