I posted a thread a while back, about problems with a bathroom refurbishment. It was meant to take 2 weeks - it was started in July - it is still not finished yet.

Last week, when the HA, their surveyor, the lady from the refurbishment company & the workers were here, they agreed the snags would be finished that day. Then they found the bathroom door wasn't in stock, so said they'd be here first thing today.

Today we had a call from the company, to say there was a problem with the door, but they had it, and could they fit it tomorrow - NO! I'm not here tomorrow, so they came and fitted it today. However, no one has painted it, or rubbed down the frame (which also needs to be painted), so that needs to be done at some point... and I don't want them to do it now.

We have given them numerous opportunities to fix the problems (the light pull switch on the ceiling isn't screwed in, they said they'd done it, one pull and it's pulled away with the plaster - as they'd glued it up! - this has been 'fixed' about 6 times now).

After DH had a bath last night, we noticed that the kitchen ceiling is wet, I'm pretty sure the overflow to the bath isn't connected properly. This isn't going to be easy to fix, as they've plastered and tiled over the end of the bath panel (very clever). They'd also sealed the cistern with silicone, until the surveyor said that wasn't acceptable, so now the toilet is wobbly again.

I have no faith in the company now, and feel that given we've complained numerous times, and had them coming and going for coming up three months, that now is the time to say enough.

I am angry as it runined our DC's holiday, as we waited in case they came (they never let us know if they couldn't make it).

The same company have the contract to do the rewiring, which we've been told is not negotiable, but, as I say, we have no faith in them, whatsoever.
