Do you watch family vlogs?

Hello all,

I'm a first time mum-to-be and just started watching and following family vlogs as I find it very inspiring and entertaining.

My favourites in the UK are the Saccone Jolys (https://www.youtube.com/user/LeFloofTV) and the Gouveias (www.youtube.com/theGOUVEIASchannel).

Do you watch family vlogs?

Thank you.

Olivia, you are getting a rough time if you are genuine.

I remember being a new Mum and wanting to understand everything about what having a family is like, reading lots of forums, buying books and watching baby shows on TV.

I can understand why you want to talk about how to get that immersive feeling here on Mumsnet, but the best threads are ones where tired exhausted Mums try and make themselves feel better - sharing miseries, drinking metaphorical gin and talking about things that are not our own children.

Not which shiny polished shit family are harping on about in some smug vlog.

Get more of an idea about Mumsnet if you have a look at some of the weekly round ups

I don't understand why these people think their families are so unique. Can't think that the kids will thank them even they are older. People have been having kids for so long, you aren't special.

I watch It's Judy's life because the twins are so cute.

Hi OP. I think you've been given a pretty hard time here. I too watch vloggers, some more than others. My main ones to watch are Ellie and Jared, daily bumps and sacconejoly. However, as much as I love them, I do sometimes question their way of life. It's not for me. Ellie and Jared are the most genuine out of them all. They spend so much time with their two little cuties. Where as Jonathan and Anna have a nanny who comes on all their holidays and to the house everyday (which seems extreme!) but if people can afford it then why not. Emilia and Eduardo are cute but I think even Emilia gets annoyed with the Camera sometimes.

Hi TamaraLamara, there are many people in the UK who don't have English as their first language, I AM one of them, can I still share thoughts and write here at Mumsnet? Also you don't need to be from outside the EU to not have English as the first language, there are many countries that speak other languages and still belong to the EU.

GloGirl You're right, maybe this is not the place for me, I know many mums who struggle and I'm sure I will be one of them but I want have to come to forums sharing miseries or anything, it's just who I am and I respect that that may help many other people but at least for now as an expectant mum that's not what I want to read and share.

BalthazarImpresario it's like watching a movie or TV, they are not special, they're just real people and I prefer that than fiction.

Gruntfuttock Yes, I watch them as well, soooo cute!

lushaliciousbob Yes, not a very welcoming environment that actually put me off of using Mumsnet as I don't need this negativism right now. I just started watching them so still building an opinion but so far finding them entertaining. Thank you so much for your comment.

A lovely day to you all!
