To be so angry at this pharmacist

From my other thread under my other username (which I now see no point in hiding - ahtilnextweek) I am pregnant with an unwanted pregnancy.

After my first hospital appointment I was told that things weren't large enough to begin a termination.

I then was told that the morning after pill I took "Levonelle" is far less effective (on an aggregate scale) than the new alternative offered aka you take the new pill £30 after possibility of sex it has a 95% chance of no pregnancy, you take levonelle, the odds very much decrease hour by hour (as instructed by the midwife scanning me). The midwife scanning me was astounded I was not given this info (the picture painted to me was dont pay the money it isn't needed). In reality it could have (I stress could have) prevented an unwanted pregnancy.

I am angry. I am frustrated and if I am told again that I have posted in the 'wrong' place then please take account of the situation. I do not feel there is a right or wrong wherever you post.

You can be too early. I was for Marie stopes and had to be a certain amount of weeks. 5 plus rings a bell

buddhasbelly Sorry to read of the pain your going through if its any consolation my wife at the time was given real run around totally different to how i expected it to be, after all shes in enough distress wanting the termination let alone being sodded around with it. We had a very good private healthcare plan but they were worse than useless:)

In the end a consultant family friend pulled a few strings and she had it done in a town some 40 miles away:(

OP, would it be worth getting in contact with PALS and saying you are being given conflicting information and you have lost confidence in your care and would like their support in getting it sorted out? It may be that a consultant can step in and get things better organised on your behalf.

Is there a race issue?

Not a race issue against myself penfold, the receptionist nurse just seemed to have prejudices in place.

I am now in agony after taking the day off work. I was like this with my dd at 5 weeks to the point where they did extra scans as I was in so much pain. There was a lot of implantation bleeding to the point where they thought id miscarried but had no doctor on site to confirm for 4 days (over the weekend). I just want this week over.

Thanks for explaining, that's awful. I hope you get your procedure soon, you've been through too much already.

I want to apologise to the posters who asked me to move this the pregnancy issues (sorry unsure of name now) thread. To those that asked me to get my last thread moved so I could get more direct advice, I apologise that I did not take your advice sooner. For those posters that didn't want my posts in aibu because it didn't fit mumsnet standard I have no apology.

My reason for not posting there initially was that I did not know the section existed but the flaming I got almost put me off mumsnet for life.
