It is the most long running pile of lameness on the TV!

Do they keep it running just to give Jenny Bond a job?

AH I have literally just found this TV show! Michael O'Hare's fish course looked like it had come out of a hoover bag Grin.

It is quite addictive now though

We love it too - and wasn't Michael O'Hare a breath of fresh air? I didn't know about his Michelin star . Good for him. I didn't think the judges would choose him - and it was so entertaining seeing Marcus Wareing's attitude towards him change over the week.

I agree that the WI is being misrepresented as all preserves and allotments. On the other hand, they are trying to make out that it is young and cool. Well there are a few around my way with long waiting lists - which is just as well as by the time I get to the top of the list, I might be the right age. Their websites show only ladies of at least 60 yrs old.

We play GBM Bingo - often the same terms in different years. Ours this year are:

Jam (preserve's/pickles) and Jerusalem (artichoke)
Edible Soil
Inspirational Nan - never grandma, granny, and usually not a member of the WI
Victoria Sponge - they never call it Victoria Sandwich.
Tea Pot

This week is good as the London chefs can usually cook well. I think they are being harshly scored as last year the scores for London put many of the regions to shame. Not sure what that guy was thinking with the fish head though. Matt Gillan is indeed very easy on the eye and Lee Westcott is just great (have wanted to go to his restaurant for a while but it's not close to us).

My Mum sticks it on series record and catches up later when my Dad is doing something else and she wants a bit of chill untaxing viewing. I've caught the odd episode when visiting home, and there's nothing wrong with it - it's quite fun to watch the different approaches the chefs take and see how the dishes can be interpreted so differently by the judges.

I've never seen it but is really duller than "Four In A Bed"?
I've lost time in my life I'll never get back on that show!

My sodding husband - religiously!!! While I'm like: "OOOH YUM!! MORE FOAM AND DRIED CRAP NOT SERVED ON A PLATE!!! " Give me strength!!

I love it. And have watched every series. Good for finding new restaurants (not that I'm going anywhere nice anytime soon with 3 under 3!)

I want them to do an ultra modern theme next year. Am bored of olde-worlde stuff. Was thinking architecture as a theme - the shard or summat
