To not rearrange my weekend for x??

I'm so angry.

Exh hasn't bothered with the kids in weeks. He's been such a bad influence lately, threats, swearing, aggressiveness all in front of the kids.

in 3 weeks it's my ds bday. Exh messaged me today;

Him- i want the kids not this weekend the weekend after because my parents are coming down to give DS his bday presents

Me- we are busy that weekend as we have plans.

Him- what do you expect my parents to do? They booked the caravan site, you nasty c**.

He's expecting me to change my plans.

The kids have asked to spend tile without his gf involved. She's been there every weekend he's had them, and he's not seen them in 3 months on his own. (3x in 3 months...)

What shall I do?

I am all for separated parents co-operating even when one is being clearly unreasonable, because it is in the best interest of the kids. But I really think from all you've said about this guy he should not be seeing the children, if he has a history of violence and truly awful threats.

Is there any chance his parents would take your side and be sympathetic if you let them come to your house to drop off the presents, or would they just give you abuse or plead their DS's case?

Glad to see you are taking steps to get some action taken regarding this man, there must be SOMEONE in authority who can help you.

Each time he threatens your life, report to the police - even if they have been useless to date. Insist they record it. Ask to speak to someone in their domestic violence unit (if they have one).
