Apologies but for some reason all my punctuation appears to be question marks???

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 13/09/2015 15:12

Steve tried to force the door because Calum, also 17, was not responding
Wouldn't most reasonable people have contacted reception for a skeleton key instead of trying to put the door in?

They all sound total nightmares.

cocobean2805 · 13/09/2015 16:22

Definitely sounds like they deserved to be evicted. Hotel wnbu.

I don??t ever want another birthday again after this

I noticed this comment on the board before I clicked on the link. I assumed it had been uttered by a six-year old. Hmm

sashh · 13/09/2015 19:37

he only reason I can think for them not having phnes etc was that maybe they were in a safe.

But trying to force the door? Several warnings etc.

There is a reason you are called a guest in a hotel.

riverboat1 · 13/09/2015 19:46

I thought that, but the article actually says 'her bag with her holiday money and travel documents was still in the hotel' and it seems unlikely you'd fit a whole bag into the safe.

It's weird because if they had time to pack their suitcases and take those with them, how did they not manage to take a handbag with all the key travel documents and money in it? Unless they forgot and it got left behind somewhere? Which is pretty stupid under any circumastances. And anyway, if they are really saying that the hotel had that bag with all their documents and money in it but then denied it, that for me would be the one thing that might garner them some sympathy, you'd think they'd make more of it!

It seems more likely they somehow lost that bag and the documents when they were leaving, and someone swiped it.

I would shrivel with shame if I was asked to leave a hotel because my teen sons were fighting, not parading myself in the press.

Well quite

TheCatsMother99 · 13/09/2015 20:08

I imagine they were a complete nightmare but they're probably the type of people who will never see that they've done any wrong - hence why they went to the press

notquitehuman · 13/09/2015 22:12

I'm guessing that they had their wallets, but because they were going all inclusive, didn't think they'd need any spending money and so couldn't get a hotel. They probably just don't want to admit that to the press. It'd explain why their son could transfer them money, and why they could get a hotel on pay day.

definiteissues · 13/09/2015 22:22

If this happened to me (which it wouldn't) I would be so embarrassed I wouldn't tell a soul, never mind tell the press

NotAWhaleOmeletteInSight · 13/09/2015 22:27

OH MY GOD! I think that bloke might be the brother of one of the cowboy builders from hell who left me without a kitchen for 9 months. They were from South Wales. I don't know his surname but he's the spitting image. Yep, they're scum.

Catsize · 13/09/2015 22:32

She's only 40???

Bolograph · 13/09/2015 22:41

How so unlike the home life of our own dear Queen.

Def more info needed here, please.

dolcelatteLover · 14/09/2015 05:16

Notqyitehuman- no because the article says they didn't have their phones.

Sansoora · 14/09/2015 06:27

If they didn't have wallets/purses - then how did they get the money out the next day/once the wages had been paid?

Im also confused by that.

confusedandemployed · 14/09/2015 06:45

Good old walesonline. What a dreadful rag it is.
Let's be honest, it's pretty unlikely that the hotel let them take their suitcases but not their passports, money etc. They had their wallets, I bet they didn't even bring money, expecting to eat/drink the all inclusive stuff all week.
Just another example of the entitlement of many people these days. Nothing is ever their fault and the world owes them a living.

TiredButFineODFOJ · 14/09/2015 06:55

This is really typical, met quite a few of thesee families when working abroad. Drunk, loud, middle of the night in the pool, fights....hotels quite rightly will throw you out for bad behaviour as you have breached the terms of your booking.
I love how these parents were always outraged at the behaviour themselves- typical conversation "we've had complaints of your group keeping guests awake with fighting at 2 am" ... " I know I wanted to complain too, it kept me up as well"!! Errr they're your kids etc you will all be asked to leave if it happens again "my holiday's been ruined by them keeping me awake and now you're threatening to throw us out, I am going to make a complaint, you're destroying our holiday"

stopfaffing · 14/09/2015 07:34

Reading between the lines it seems that the parents were not supervising their boys, quote from mother ??We were worried about his well being because we did not know to what extent they had been fighting??. This was on the second night, after the hotel had informed them they'd be asked to leave after causing a disturbance the previous night. It is even more worrying because one boy had Aspergers and both were allowed to drink unsupervised and swim in the pool in the middle of the night, while drunk.

It definitely doesn't make sense that they would have all their cases packed and with them but not their documents, purse and phone.

There is nothing worse than sefish families who ruin peoples' holidays by creating noise night after night. The hotel were right to get rid. Feel sorry for guests and staff at the Hotel Monte Feliz, where they were moved to. Hope they learned to behave themselves for the rest of the holiday.

stopfaffing · 14/09/2015 07:35

What's happened to my quotation marks?
