To hate free delivery

It often means someone is getting screwed, the driver often has far too many to drop off so buggers off before youve got to the front door (4 level house here). I really wish I could pay a reasonae amount for a good delivery service. Not free for a shit service.

Free delivery in practice merely means that the cost of the delivery has been "hidden" in the price you pay, that's all.

I don't buy from companies that don't offer the type of delivery I require. If the delivery is going to requiring opening a door, then I pay to upgrade to a named day with a one hour delivery slot. If all that's on offer is approx 5 days with Yodel, I buy elsewhere.

Despite knowing that companies do not lose any money with deliveries, I still only order the cheapest I find with free delivery, or not at all.

I only ever order from Next for example, if I can pick up from a store.

I understand what you mean, but paying for delivery sadly doesn't guarantee a decent service anyway, so I am not paying for it. I have never had any problem so far, the drivers seem to realise that they'll have to come back if they disappear too quickly, so I've always got my parcels so far.
