Ok so some history. Dh has had a history of night terrors/sleepwalking since he was a child. His mum took him to the doctors but nothig was really done, just advised to not eat late at night etc. Since we've been together he's dragged me across the bed by my feet, told me to put the knife down (whilst in bed) peed in some unimaginable places, gripped my bump very hard several times while pregnant (he thought I was falling out of bed when I was turning over) and just generally shouts out/talks utter nonsense in his sleep. He's 6ft 2 and a really big heavy build and I'm getting pretty scared.
Last night I woke up to him standing up in the middle of the room removing a light bulb from the ceiling light, he could have electrocuted himself or pulled the ceiling down!
Starting to actually get a little worried for his safety and me and dc's. We have 2 small children and I'm not sure what he's actually capable of.
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

I think poor sleep habits sled to poor sleep - night shifts and unusual sleep patterns will certainly not be helping. Is there any chance he could change jobs?

I wish he could but financially we couldn't affirm for him to leave his job as it's really well paid, I'm still at home with 2 yo ds and hoping to go back to work next year so maybe then but for the time being were stuck for childcare as there's no one to have ds and nurseries here are so bloody expensive!

Has anyone seen Bobby Davro sleepwalking on CBB? My dd does it sometimes. She gets up, comes downstairs, looks around and then goes back to bed. We've not had to deal with anything dangerous. She's 9. I hope she grows out of it. I once fell asleep on the couch next to my cousins friend after a night out. During the night I awoke to him trying to punch me and pull my hair. I had no option than to rouse him as there was nowhere for me to go to. He was extremely embarrassed and left in a hurry. I was pissed off that my cousin let him stay as she knew he did this on occasion. A warning would have helped at least.

Dh is like this. He's chased seagulls, ripped the quilt off the bed looking for spiders and shoved me out of bed telling me I'm falling out of bed. He's 6ft6 so can be a bit scary.
He only ever does it when he's really really stressed.
