Miley has made over 150million and all she does these days is wear very little and keep going on about how many drugs she has.

All made their fame and fortune from Disney. Wish they would withold payment for several decades until they are forgotten so they keep up the image and don't regress in to sexy, drug fueled numpties. So many people are desperate to sign up for fame it wouldn't stop anyone.

I'm more disappointed in the ones that use Christianity so sell their stuff and then happily drop it as soon as its not selling.

You mean, you're upset children were coherst into selling an image, without knowing the implications or truly caring for the organisation they were working for, and as soon as they learned their own mind, chose a different direction. I don't see anything wrong with them not wanting to sell 'Christian values' as adults, if they have come to realise that's not the lifestyle they want to follow.

Purity rings are a bloody ridiculous idea.

They were children controlled by their parents and studio executives into selling that image, it's not the children who made those decisions, it was the adults around them.

I've read a lot of things about the Disney empire. Most of it is probably internet twaddle, but it does make you wonder. In any case DCs grow up and have teenage rebellions that bit is totally normal.

They have to sign morality clauses etc whilst working for Disney, not a foot out of line or their contracts are terminated, so of course it all gets built up and released as soon as those poor kids are away from Disney. None of them are even that bad really, I don't get your point.

As other posters have said, its not just disney, its a large amount of child stars.

Many child actors were abused and exploited and/or had inadequate parenting. NOT saying this is true of the Disney machine but the mental health problems of many former child actors are well documented.

Blaming very young people who have been put to work in an exploitative and tough from a young age for their (in context, very minor) misdemeanours is...not kind is it?

I find it interesting when comparing Britney to Mliey that Britney was still (as far as we know) still living cleanly, and wasn't pushing sexual boundaries (per say) but was living a highly scrutinised life, and suffers from MH problems, Miley has pushed boundaries and (as far as we know) is stable and is courting the lifestyle her terms.
Maybe that is the difference between the two.

Well they I wish they just came clean and said all the Christian stuff was bullshit forced on them, rather than pretending the church is still a big part of their life.

Tbh i genuinely think many former child actors (across hollywood) are victims of sexual exploitation and we see the results in their damaged teenage/young adult years.

Re the sexual exploitation, former child actor Corey Haim said he was sexually abused by a studio exec and nothing was done about it. He was a big star but after the abuse he spiralled into drink and drugs and died of an overdose a couple of years ago.
