So historically this has always been a bad thing, Right?

AIBU to believe that I am not imaging the fact that it feels like this has been happening?

or have we just got goady fuckers playing bingo?

Haven't noticed it myself. Where?

CantSee4Looking · 03/09/2015 09:20

All over the place.

Yes I've noticed this on the pregnancy board! It's all "lol", "hun", "xxx" at the end of posts. urgh.

Maybe the pregnancy board has always been like that though, I only go there when pregnant!

BastardGoDarkly · 03/09/2015 09:21

Yup, I've noticed hun x x x x x x. X x x x. X

Aoifebell · 03/09/2015 09:22

Aww Hun I've noticed it too and I f* hate it! xxxx

(Insert glittery ticker life stats and other shiny shite)

Hmm

JassyRadlett · 03/09/2015 09:22

I can't see 'hun' without feeling like I'm in a WWI period drama.

maybebabybee · 03/09/2015 09:23

It's like this on the pregnancy boards and in some of the antenatal clubs.

I don't really like it either, but they mean well so I tolerate it :)

KanyeWestPresidentForLife · 03/09/2015 09:24

Yes. Some people might be coming on here who are poor and not highly educated. How dreadful. Don't they know this is a board where their betters discuss what is good for them? Somebody ought to tell them it's not appropriate for them to join in. Or by this time next week our children will all be drinking Froot Shoots!

BrandNewAndImproved · 03/09/2015 09:25

The difference between the msg boards and inbox is quite funny. Inbox is lovely dovey with , lol, hun xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I quite like that the boards aren't all xxx but a good lol is very good. I like lols in places of fullstops.

NullaBore · 03/09/2015 09:25

I actually saw AnyFucker end a post with x

I was Shock and nearly called troll.

I've noticed too that people quote " " instead of bolding which annoys me.

Koalafications · 03/09/2015 09:27

The Pregnancy board is full of Huns. Terribly upsetting.

butttons · 03/09/2015 09:27

at least there haven't been any "hunny"s - that one really grinds my gears

lordStrange · 03/09/2015 09:29

Maybe pregnancy turns us into huns? They will all resume normality once they've popped.

MoonriseKingdom · 03/09/2015 09:32

How patronising Kanye - there are plenty of people on mumsnet who are not very well off or who don't have a raft of sparkling qualifications, who don't 'hun'.

I just find it very insincere and would rather it didn't creep into mumsnet.

CantSee4Looking · 03/09/2015 09:32

I have pregnancy and baby names hidden. I have encountered this else where.

BigRedBall · 03/09/2015 09:33

God...I was having a discussion with someone over something and they kept quoting my WHOLE fucking message every time they replied. There is a reason we don't have that automatic "replying to a message and quoting the message shit" they have on other boards. It's because it's annoying and takes up precious internet space. Why would you do it manually?!!

SaucyJack · 03/09/2015 09:35

I used to do the "" instead of bolding Nulla, as bolding doesn't show up on the MN app- which it makes it hard for anyone using it to follow the debate.

The app is kaput at the mo tho, so no need to use it any more.

CadleCrap · 03/09/2015 09:35

I have noticed hubby creeping in too.

Some people might be coming on here who are poor and not highly educated. So, are you implying that the hunners are all poor and thick? Wow!

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 03/09/2015 09:35

Kanye

I'm poor as they come, in receipt of all the benefits a single parent is entitled to, haven't any education beyond college, and live in one of the most deprived areas of the country. Please feel free to assume my spelling, grammar and ability to construct a decent sentence is going to be restricted by those things if it makes you feel better.

Hmm

Koalafications · 03/09/2015 09:35

lord I didn't 'hun' when I was pregnant, how dare you! Shock.

mellowheart · 03/09/2015 09:35

I think it's very easy and understandable to put the odd x if it's in reply to someone a bit upset though.

HellKitty · 03/09/2015 09:37

My own spelling and grammar is appauling but I have noticed a few, 'could/should of's', lately.
No huns though.

Aoifebell · 03/09/2015 09:37

Are you ok Kanye? HmmConfused that's a bit much and no one said that. I'm sure many "poor" people don't say Hun, myself included!

butttons · 03/09/2015 09:41

I read Kanye's post as tongue in cheek - was I the only one??
