Get on ok with OH ex. We text etc, friends on FB.

Last year she took him to the CSA when he was already paying generous maintenance but was driving 1200 miles every other weekend to collect and see the kids, CSA deemed him living at mine where he had the kids (he's forces) and I lost all my tax credits so finacially we have both been hit hard. Kids still turn up in clothes too small which are mainly hand me downs from my DD.

She is always in labels when I see her.

Dd very serious about food and just passed GCSES to do A'level food.

Few weeks ago sent DSDs home with expensive (£15) Tupperware container full of cupcakes I made with them which was DDs cooking box but didn't need for a while as she had finished for summer.

dsd1 told me her mum accidentally melted it on the job and ruined it and was going to replace it.

I replaced it last week in time for new term and texted OH tonight and asked him to ask her to reimburse me.

He texted her asking if she had it and she says she hasn't seen it ????

On the hob - am more pissed off with the blatent lying actually.

I would do nothing and suck it up. Only bad can come from pursuing this, even though you've been stitched up here.

Verypissedoffwife · 02/09/2015 00:22

Well honestly what I'd do is separate because it all sounds too much hassle. Go back to claiming tax credits and not being skint.

And that genuinely isn't meant to be snarky.

MajesticWhine · 02/09/2015 00:27

Just let it go, it's a Tupperware box.

FuryFowler · 02/09/2015 00:30

Tbf on her, she probably didn't realise it cost you £15. I never would.
The lying would annoy me though, I have a friend like this and it is infuriating! Esp when she owes you a fiver :/

Weathergames · 02/09/2015 00:33

It was a clip and lock one with a top handle and a cooling rack inside.

It didn't look like a recycled Chinese takeaway container.

Sounds fancy :).... Where did you get it from?

Weathergames · 02/09/2015 00:36

The Range :)

Cool, thanks :)

bessarabiantiger · 02/09/2015 00:49

I have no idea what to suggest. I am here solely to reel at a £15 tuppaware box.

Fatmomma99 · 02/09/2015 00:55

You're not BU, but this comes under the label of "don't sweat the small stuff".

She's clearly BU, she owes you. She isn't going to pay, is she! So accept it and move on. "it's only money" and breath "it's only money". Hope that Karma will make it right in the end.

Verypissedoffwife · 02/09/2015 01:05

Ok I can see my suggestion wasn't the epiphany you were looking for. It's just that I've recently seperately so am probably trying to share the joy (even where not warranted)!

With that in mind -my aliterate advice- write it off but don't ever lend again!

But that doesn't address the more important problems of too small clothes and not enough cash for travel!

Verypissedoffwife · 02/09/2015 01:07

Sorry phones shit.
Separated - nor seperately
Alternative - not aliterate

19lottie82 · 02/09/2015 06:25

Why did she take his to the CSA if he was already paying a "generous" amount. That doesn't really make sense?

19lottie82 · 02/09/2015 06:28

Sorry but you're being petty. If you want assurance that something (inc Tupperware) will come back to you in perfect condition, don't let a child / teen, remove it from the house! If I let my DSD take a Tupperware out of the house then I wouldn't rely on seeing it again!
