To think it's not hard to keep paint ON the fence?

Next door are treating their side of the fence in green paint. Unfortunately they have got a considerable amount of paint on the wrong side of the fence, somehow there are flecks all over our back door which is a double French door.

I can't see how they've even managed it, the door and the fence are a good 2 metres apart and the splatters are like flicks all over the door.

We aren't even acquainted, our houses face in opposite directions, wouldn't recognise them if I saw them.

Am I missing something, does fence painting make huge flecks of paint splatter? It's also over the garden toys, paddling pool, basketball hoop... Which makes me think it wasn't deliberate? I'm so confused!

They've used a spray gun, they travel
about 15 feet

Twats. Are you able to get it off easily? If not I'd go round and ask them to come and sort it

Maybe they used a paint sprayer?
I'm doing our side of the fence, in stages - by brush - doing it the same colour as next door did it, on purpose! A few flecks and blobs have gone amiss, I have to admit. It is difficult to keep it all on the fence, but not impossible to keep it under control, so they are being inconsiderate, although probably have no idea what has happened.

My NDN used a spray gun for their fence which had trellis at the top!!!
Totally ruined all the pots on my patio which were planted up also managed to get my car
They did pay for car to be professionally cleaned and bought me a garden gift token but I was still over a £100 out of pocket on replacing things

She's still painting it now and is using a brush. Maybe she used a sprayer on our side of the fence, realised it coated our garden and switched to a brush for all her other lucky neighbours' benefits?

A sprayer will still miss bits, hence the brush use

It's water based, so wash it off before it dries and it should be fine

My old neighbours did this, it went all over the windows, the children's swing set and playhouse. And worst of all over our 6 month old car, it was that waxy paint, we tried everything to get it off( polishes, t-cut, clay bar, heating and scraping) went round to say what had happened she said 'ooh that's a shame, can't be helped though' we had to have the car resprayed as it was white and was covered in green spots. Cost us thousands. We had chosen white as scratches and stonechips don't show so much.

I recently had a thread about our neighbours painting the other side of our fence white. Our garden furniture is covered in white specks, as well as the plants and paving.

It pales into insignificance however, now that I see the replacement trampoline that the neighbours on the other side have just erected. It's a few feet from our Patio doors and approx. 9 feet tall, significantly higher than the last one, and three feet higher than the fence. Sigh!
