Plus what the hell is she teaching her children? Once you're bored just get rid/replace?

Sorry for the Daily Fail link!

I wonder if she'd have this attitude if her parents did the same to her

Seriouslyffs · 28/08/2015 12:04

Itsmine
"It just baffles me why she is paid for all the drivel she spouts."
She's paid because the DM makes money from her. A thoughtful uncontroversial piece wouldn't get linked to or discussed here, no one would go to their website and read it and the DM wouldn't be able to charge for advertising in their website.

airforsharon · 28/08/2015 12:12

All ego, no brain.

In the past week or so a DJ (forget his named) has been pilloried for being 'outrageous' (actually really fecking tedious) with his opinions on breastfeeding. Last I heard he'd been suspended from his job. Yet women such as SS, KH, LJ etc are making careers out of being 'outrageous', and offending just about everyone they can, yet they're still all employed. There seems to be no consequence for their crass stupidity and sometimes downright offensiveness at all.

Why is this deliberately provocative look at me me me crap tolerated?

My Nan used to say 'empty vessels make most noise' and she was damn right.

RumTumTuggeress · 28/08/2015 12:18

She's hardly a looker is she? Who is she to judge anybody. To me my dog will always be a puppy, never even seen him as one but his whole demeanour is adorable. Why buy a pet if you know you cant commit to it.

bikeandrun · 28/08/2015 12:42

There's plenty of men who have made a career out of this too, Clarkson and Littlejohn of the top of my head, they mainly get away with this too. I used to idly waste time on the DM website, much better for my MH to waste time on mumsnet.

Wolpertinger · 28/08/2015 12:58

Yes, loads of men - Quentin Letts, James Delingpole, Littlejohn, there are many more - just spout a controversial opinion really LOUDLY and apprarently they are an expert.

The female version is a bit different as it tends to draw on their personal and family lives.

But at the end of the day, they are all just clickbait.

PHANTOMnamechanger · 28/08/2015 13:09

what an awful woman!
she's a self centred idiot.

Angry about the sheep etc killed by her out of control dogs.

airforsharon · 28/08/2015 13:21

Actually yes, I'm wrong in that there are men such as Jeremy Clarkson who spout an awful lot of puffed up bollocks and get paid for it. But they still seem in a different/league arena, to me, than SS, KH etc.

I think maybe Wolpertinger has it, the female versions do tend to drag their dcs, spouses etc into it, which is another level of low.

hackmum · 28/08/2015 16:57

Someone has pointed out that this article contradicts another article Shona Sibary wrote about her dogs in 2012:

www.linkedin.com/pulse/daily-mail-columnist-caught-out-making-stuff-up-beverley-cuddy

JimmyGreavesMoustache · 28/08/2015 17:05

what SolidGold said

there are loads of Polly Filler types like Sibary and Samantha Brick who are happy to ham it up for the cash and the clicks. I think Esther Walker's one on how devastated she was that her second child was a boy was my favourite. Bet it paid for a good whack of that nice kitchen she blogs from. I'd do the same if they came round my way with a dump truck full of cash.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 28/08/2015 17:15

HackMum - I suspect the first article is true. I suspect the second article is half true but she's lied about the origin of the dogs in order to not come to the attention of the rescue. I hope the rescue put 2 and 2 together and prosecute her....if the dogs aren't hers and she's sold them surely that's theft?

Either that or she's a total narcissist who lives in a fantasy world and has never owned a dog in her life.

Hygge · 28/08/2015 17:28

Isn't she the woman who claims she drugs her children so they don't annoy her on long distance flights and claimed that she was bullied on Mumsnet just like Amanda Holden?

hackmum · 28/08/2015 17:35

That's the one, Hygge. She's written a lot of that type of article for the Mail over the years - I've always assumed there's quite a bit of exaggeration in what she writes, as these pieces are designed to outrage the readership and generate clicks. With an article such as this one, though, I wonder if she appreciates quite how awful it makes her look.

hackmum · 28/08/2015 17:35

WhoTheFuck - I think you're probably right about the motivation for disguising the origin of the dogs in the second piece.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 28/08/2015 17:40

I don't think she cares how it makes her look to the general public. She couldn't give a stuff about the likes of you or me. She will look down on us for been very silly while she's the great national journalist. Hmm

She maybe warns all her friends that its not true so they don't judge her.

PrimalLass · 28/08/2015 17:56

I just can't even read that. She is an utter cunt, who is probably shunned at the school gate for being such an embarrassing bellend. Would you let your kids go to her house for a playdate? It would probably end up in the Daily Mail.

MidniteScribbler · 29/08/2015 02:33

I admit there must be something mentally wrong with me.

This is probably the only true thing she has ever written.

Northernlurker · 29/08/2015 12:10

The Dogs Trust has responded in very measured terms here

I think the bit that shocked me most was her casual attitude to the reported sheep killing. Absolutely unacceptable to allow your dogs to ever do that once let alone repeatedly.
