To be terrified that anyone in the US would even consider Donald Trump as President

As far as I can see, he was born into a weathly family, became more weathly through a combination of accident and arrogance (whist nearly going bust at least once). I know the US has a proud tradition of idiotic presidents, but really?

American politics is very different to the UK. American politicians are at the mercy of corporations and lobbyists who are required to fund their multi-million dollar campaigns. This creates inherent corruption in the system.

Donald Trump is a viable candidate and a threat to this system precisely because he is a billionaire and can fund his own campaign. No-one else would be able to do this. This is also why the entire American establishment and mainstream media is ranged against him.

Open debate is always a good thing and Trump is introducing new topics to the table that have been ignored for too long. I think this is an exciting time for American politics.

It's scary stuff. But it's REAL!! Sometimes I think American politics is fake, but it's actual real. People believe this rubbish!

Madness.

He'd get on famously with Prime Minister Corbyn. A very "special relationship".

He reminds me of Devils that take human form in films

I don't actually think he's real.

He's either a character played by a genius of a comedian. Or, failing that, it's all an elaborate piece of performance art.

I'm waiting with interest to see how far it can go before it's all revealed.

I agree with JeffreysMummy. No way is he real. I suspect Alan Alda put him up to it.

" His ideas aren't actually all that crazy."
"Trump is introducing new topics"
Confused
He's promised to expel 11 million (non-white) immigrants
He criticised Mexico for "sending drugs, crime and rapists to the US"
He has referred to women as “fat pigs”, “dogs”, “slobs” and “disgusting animals”.

His new ideas and topics are to take racism and sexism to new levels.

And this seems very popular with Republican voters
Hilary Clinton is vulnerable to smear / scandal, so President Trump is thinkable
Where's the Mumsnet gin when I need it ?
