I'm trying to watch something after a long long long week. Housemate and her bf joined me and are currently chatting about crap. Either you want to watch it or you don't! Raaarrrggh.

It's my biggest pet hate!

Advert, not the silent part. Don't spoil the atmosphere.

My mil does this. Either asks a million questions or talk and talks if it's something she doesn't want to watch.

Flipping it the other way. Don't you just hate it when you visit someone and the refuse to turn off their TV to talk to you!?

Maybe some of us live with our extended family?

My grandmother used to have the volume turned up really really loud for certain TV shows, everyone thought it was because her hearing was bad but she just did it to shut people up.

Our DC get one warning, then they are out.

My sister NEVER gets it, she insists on shouting talking all through whatever we are watching

Watching films with DH is a nightmare. Despite knowing that ITS MY FIRST TIME WATCHING THIS TOO he always asks things like "who's that? Are they related?" And "where's he going?"
I get so cross saying for the millionth time "I've watched as much of this as you have, therefore I do not know!"
