and has done off and on for the last week.

She is just sitting on the top of the climbing frame screaming every time another child comes near the frame. And I mean screaming !

I know that Its not quite 8 yet but there are lots of little ones asleep by this time ( or trying to be)

And before anyone says anything she is not SEN and having a meltdown, she is just screaming for the sake of screaming.

I know others have complained to her parents, but it still carries on.

I used to work as a midday supervisor and most of the girls (and it was always girls) would run across the yard and let out the most high pitched screams. Just. Because.
I don't get people screaming on roller coasters either...

No, nor me.

It's a playground-a -place for children to run and shout and even screech as they like.
Was the playground not there when you bought/rented your house?

yabu - you are not SEN. you have SEN.

Madam, yes the playground was there. But seeing as they are Army Quarters we don't actually have any choice were we are allocated a house.

And yes playgrounds are for playing, but like nearly every other person on this thread, I don't feel there is any reason to scream.

No child in my care has ever been allowed to just scream.

Yanbu aprt from the sn lingo
We get that in the park behind our house, hate it

Vatersay · 07/08/2015 21:40

Madam play yes, run about yes, make noise yes, scream - no.

youarekiddingme · 07/08/2015 21:41

I hate screaming too. The screaming just because and screaming as a way of control.
My DS has a habit of suddenly shouting out things in excitement when I'm driving - he's told no as it dangerous. He has SN so it's a self control issue. Still dangerous and still not allowed - despite it being the only way he really knows how to 'express himself'!

Madam

"Screech" no
