My son does. He has autism. He finds the noise of supermarkets overwhelming. He feels secure in the trolley. It distracts him. He plays with a tablet in it and I put the shopping round him. He's 8. I don't care one iota what you think, you judgey arse.

If this is your main, trolley related concern, I think you'd be shocked to see what foxes/birds/cats/dogs do on and near them.

Well you do know that rats, birds and other wildlife play in those trolleys at night and they are never cleaned, well at least not in the supermarket I work at. I don't like children sitting in the trolleys as its dangerous seen a few stand and fall out and crack their heads open, thier parents always try to blame supermarket of course.

I can tell you ALL put toddlers in them. So uncouth.

Of course supermarket trolleys are wonderfully clean things, kept in a sanitised environment ready for your shopping. Oh no wait, they are left in the rain, in a car park so anything you are going to be eating that comes in contact with the trolley you should be washing so it is irrelevant how many kids sit in the trolley. YABU

Trolleys are filthy, food is packaged. Supermarkets are filthy, people sneeze and touch the packaging (if you're lucky). Children are everywhere, animals are everywhere, adults are everywhere, the world is filthy but a bit of grime does you good, keeps your immune system in working order I couldn't care less where kids sit in a trolley, to be honest I'd rather them in a trolley than racing around where I'm trying to walk.

I don't own a toddler so no, you are wrong.
