to wish I could get a photo of DS at our local baths?

I know precisely why photography/cameras etc are not allowed in places like swimming baths but I would love to get a photo of DS (no other child or intention) smiling away gleefully at our local baths in the pool.

Its such a shame that you cant, although I totally understand why.

Just ask at reception, they might allow it. I wanted a pic of my DD when she had her first swim and asked the receptionist. They said that as long as no-one else was in the photo it was fine. The receptionist radioed the lifeguard to say what I was doing and I took a very quick pic before putting camera away and getting in the pool with my DD and her dad.

Just been in France, went to two campsite pools and a municipal one, took pics of the kids, no one said anything, no notices etc. Also lots of small nude children around and preteen girls just in bikini bottoms.the world has continued to turn. The only swimming pool rule the French care about is men cant wear shorts, must be speedos. Lots of speedos no peados!

I didn't know the rule and when we tool DS for the first time there I was happily snapping away with my phone.

Lifeguard did stop me but not before asking if I'd managed to get a decent snap (I checked and I had). Pool was all but empty though.

Shame I couldn't get snap of DD's first swim.

Im glad it's not just me who thinks it's a shame although understand why the rule is there.

For those who said to wait til we go on holiday, I appreciate your suggestion but it is likely to be next year before we go abroad with DS and kinda spoils the magic of his first swim in a pool.

And no, not photos of all his activities no, however, he loves water and being in the water - the activity he probably enjoys the most - so would be great to get some photos of him enjoying himself.
