They have recently introduced a rule stating that you must be in the building 15 minutes before any class starts.

Anyone who doesn't arrive 15 minutes before is being given a 'strike'. 3 strikes and you aren't allowed to book any more classes online.

I am really pissed off.

5 minutes I could understand, but 15 seems a bit excessive. Especially if you're coming straight from work. I'd definitely query it OP.

It is 5 mins at my gym. If you miss 3 in a month you're banned from booking classes for 7 days. Makes sense if people keep booking up spaces that they don't use but 15 mins seems excessive, particularly if you arrive changed that is a lot of hanging around.

15 mins is too long.

And I bet they don't know if you actually attended the class anyway, just that you swiped in.

I do agree that there should be measures taken and sanctions put in place to stop people misusing class booking though. Just not sure whether any big gyms have worked out the best way to do it yet.
