To feel a bit put out that if 70% of spending is controlled by women why is 80% of our choice of product made by men? I was really shocked at how few women are at board level

I can't help feeling that experienced women should get to make the CHOICE, rather than just being in a focus group.

I didn't think anyone is criticising the SAHM choice. The point is, we can't lament the lack of female board members and not recognise that the choice of many to be a SAHM feeds into that.

I doubt purely a factor of age, men are very reluctant to try for professions that are historically seen as women's work (and are also historically lower paid, but I doubt lower pay is main reason why the men don't go for these jobs, the blokes just can't identify with doing that job).
