AIBU?

To think that the fashion industry discrimates against big boobed women?

I'm a 34 HH and it's almost impossible for me to find a decent, pretty and most importantly affordable bras on the high street. Most shops now go up to an E cup, but if your cup size is any bigger than that your stuffed. Debenhams do occasionally stock the bigger cup sizes but you have to riffle through the rails to find one of the larger sizes, and then they are always expensive and dowdy looking.

There is Bravissimo, but they don't have one in my town and when I'm able to get to one that does have a branch as lovely as they are, they are extortianetly expensive.

I know this is not just me, I've spoken to so many women in a similar predicament. None of us are overweight, which actually makes things even more difficult as there seems to be this idea that if you have big boobs your fat. Hence they don't seem to cater for the smaller back sizes. It seems to be a real problem that so many women can't get decen bras these days without breaking the bank.

AIBU to think we are being discrimated against?

It can be tricky to find affordable, non-ugly bras in a 32FF, but I find a bigger problem is finding clothes that fit. Baggy clothes seem to have been in fashion forever and when I wear them I look like I'm pregnant - and I'm a size 10/12.

I know it's anecdata, but another size 10, BMI of 22, G cup here. 28G is ok to find at Bravissimo, but I do wish I could buy swimwear that was cheap and cheerful, rather than pricey and limited in terms of design and colours.

Try eBay for swimwear Noparking. I get Fantasie bikinis for about £20 instead of about £60 Shock. You have to drop lucky finding matching bits, but it's worth it.

Work I buy my bras from eBay (once Bravissimo have fitted me and I've bought the first one from them) but I'm worried about buying something I might need to return. Are there any particular sellers you can recommend by pm?

I'm 28J size 8-10 BMI 22. I don't even bother looking anywhere other than Bravissimo any more tbh. The swimwear is eye wateringly expensive I agree - I have 2 bikinis and 1 swimsuit and intend to make them last for years!

Another size 10, 30G here. My boobs really aren't that huge.

I think the message is very gradually getting through, thanks to Bravissimo, largely, despite the best efforts of M&S et al, who still insist on putting women in badly fitting bras.

But there's so much more choice than even 5 years ago. As well as Bravissimo, I can usually find something in Debenhams/House of Fraser/John Lewis, although I also tend to use eBay a lot. What with those and Brastop/Figleaves etc., there's quite a lot of choice, really. I do agree with pps who said they are sometimes a bit 'industrial'. I would like to see some more delicate designs in larger cup sizes. My strapless bras stay up fine so I really don't need inch-wide straps.
