AIBU saying no to DP wanting holiday 1 week after starting nursery

My DD (3yrs next month) is starting nursery in Sept. My DP wants us to go on holiday a week or two after she starts nursery, for 2 or 3 weeks. I thought it would be too disruptive for her. And wouldn't the nursery look unfavourably on it? Or AIBU? He's always leaving holiday decisions to the last minute grrr

I'm about to attempt toilet training DD in time for nursery too (!!) so a holiday so soon after giving up nappies seems nightmarish. I'm worried we'll regress back to nappies while we're away.

Here's a quick update in case anyone else is in this position in future:-

We went on holiday for 3 weeks, and delayed our DD's nursery start date until after we got back.

On the plus side - the holiday boosted my DD's confidence because she could play with nieces every day.

On the downside she caught a terrible stomach bug and flu and was admitted to A&E while we were away which scuppered our toilet training and has left her drained. She's very tired now we're back, and is unable to focus on anything in the new nursery. Also I feel like I'm distracted now by laundry, and sewing on blinking name tapes at the last minute.

In future, I wouldn't go on holiday immediately before starting nursery. I'd have a quiet week or two at home to prepare instead.
