To not want to go to the Doctor

Last few months I have been experiencing heart palpitations. But over the last few weeks they have been coming fast and frequently, I counted having six in just over a minute. This can happen between eight and ten times a dayEven when I am calm and sitting still. I'm shitting it that there is something wrong and can't face going to the Doctor. I'm petrified that I'm going to be told bad news.

I had this recently, went to GP and had a 24 hour heart monitor fitted, he wasnt remotely worried and said it was just my heart skipping an occasional beat then banging harder the next time to make up for it, it is very common and doesnt stop me doing anything. I'm on beta blockers now which have really sorted it out.

I was petrified it was going to be something serious so do go and see your doc.

Doctor has said a blood test for tomorrow. Today the nurse is going to do a quick ecg then I may have a 24 hour one.
