I'm old and long past the child rearing stage but it saddens me to read a lot of the threads on here. People running themselves into the ground trying to do the right thing. I have a link from the reviled Daily Mail but it might help someone somewhere.

Exactly Cotto - and in RL people talk to other people in relation to those decisions. Likewise, do you see fathers hand wringing over their parenting decisions? Do you fuck.
Mothering guilt is a construct created by media in the last 15-20 years.

I have nothing against bloggers, I am one. I did read the one in the link, once I had had a good run round town to work off the sugar rush from the DMs terminology.

It was the DM term mummy blogger I initially objected to.

After reading said blog I had yet more sugar saccharine to run off. I found it to be twee, almost aggressively sanctimonious and utterly absurd in its certainty/superiority.

The whole thing had the same tone as those horrendous poems you find in cards for weird non occasions. Almost religiously fervent and do goodery.

Yickety blech!
