Put up pregnant on Facebook?

AIBU because I don't think I am but honestly not sure.

I am 11 weeks pregnant and posted on Facebook I'm pregnant (I know Facebook--groan).

We had only previously told my parents, DPs parents and my sister.

Now my Dad is annoyed I didn't pre warn him that I was posting it up as he wanted to tell his Mum (my Gran) first.

Firstly, I never told him he couldn't tell her and he never asked.

Secondly, I haven't told my Mums Mum or my Mums sister - my aunt - either.

I posted as got a hen do this weekend and wanted people to know why I could not drink.

Should I have pre warned him or was it my choice to make?

If it was my partner annoyed or not pre warned id agree but my Dad? What do you think?

The only reason it might be unreasonable is that unless you've had your 12 week scan it's early to be putting on fb, that is what a pp meant. Until your 12 wk scan you've no guarantee everything is ok

I've had my 12 week scan this week and I admit I announced on fb. Not a scan pic, just a sentence - because I've had 3 miscarriages prior to this one and for my own sanity I need to celebrate and enjoy. So I decided sod it, I'm telling the world!

I would never put a scan pic up though - only because they made me so upset and I couldn't do that to someone else

I did however make sure all family members and v close friends found out before i put on fb

Congratulations though! And it's your news to tell whoever you like

I apologised to him anyway. Right or wrong it caused upset so I felt I needed to.
