Aibu dance class time changed to suit 1 girl

Here is the scenario. My DD has been dancing since the age of 3 with our local dance school she does ballet, tap and modern
She isn't the best dancer but she enjoys going.

The timetable changes from year to year due to going up the grades and we have always managed to accommodate her schedule so she could continue to dance.
My DD has been doing a dance class on a Tuesday afternoon - straight after she goes to girl guides. In fact she always misses the first 10 mins of guides because she is in dance class.

We have just been given the new timetable and her dance class has been swapped to a later time and now clashes directly with guides.
Because all her best friends go to guides there is no way she will give it up.

I spoke with the dance school owner today and explained the situation that my DD would not be able to carry on because of the time clash. I explained how upset she was that she couldn't continue and that she wouldn't be doing that style of dance in the big show they put on in April.

I always understood that at some point she would be unable to continue
There wasn't a problem until the owner told me that she had moved my DD class to a later time because a girl in the grade above couldn't make the later time.

AIBU to be really peed off that my whole daughters class has been moved because another girl who I've never met can't make it, which now means my DD can't continue.

I'm seeing the owner again tomorrow and at the moment I'm Absolutely livid and upset.

presumably that class has also been chosen to fit in with everyone else's schedules too?

so for instance the people attending at 7 on a Thursday do so because that the time they could make.

It's up to the parents to either find the time or attend a different class surely. not fir the whole class to be shifted instead?

I'd be pretty pissed off too. Why did they check she was ok but not your dd?

Yanbu, what is so special about this one girl that the entire class time is changed?

Well when I spoke earlier she said that she'd forgotten that my daughter did guides and that the timetable had been changed and couldn't be unchanged.

You've said yourself, it changes every now and then as she moves through the classes - this is pretty common practice with lots of activities - swimming classes, dance, football etc. You've also said yourself she would have to give one up at some point anyway. I don't think it's worth getting het up about the fact it's now rather than in 6 months or whatever.
It happens when you have dc that do more than one activity.
At this point you choose - between the 2 things that clash or see if you can find either another dance class or another guide company so she can continue with both. The reason it changes isn't really relevant.

Perhaps you could ask the teacher if she could move up a grade, and go to the other class instead?

In the scheme of things how does this matter?

Thats really annoying. Id ask if the teacher if she could recommend another dance school.
