Am going to have a period where I can't work as I am a supply teacher and obviously the 6 week holiday is coming up and so I was wondering is it unreasonable to claim jsa during this time otherwise have no money?

I am really tired of this idea that teachers get six weeks paid holiday...no they don't! Your children get six weeks holiday, unless pure paying for their education in which they get considerably more, but the teachers don't. Teachers get six weeks unpaid leave as they will already fulfilled their contractual obligations by teaching 1265 hours 195 days plus five days time in school without the children. The vast majority will have worked 60 hour weeks during term time as there is not enough time to do everything in the 1265 directed hours. Are your children not exhausted by school and in need of break? How many parents are grateful that their children are back at school after the summer holidays? A significant number of parents are just relieved to hand their children over and can't be bothered to get off their phones when their children are around. Stop hassling someone who asked an honest question....can she claim Unemployment benefit if she's unemployed...most supply teachers are in this position. If this isn't dealt with fairly then there won't be any supply teachers........why are women somunkind to each other?
