..on the single most annoying judgey pants comments used about women and mothers.

Seriously, we have to get all 'team women' on our own arses, or we are NEVER going to get equal.

I will begin:

Helicopter parent: I judge you for having your individual anxieties about your child, which may not tally with mine.

Vague is good Smile - it's a permanent state at my stage of life! Vague, strangely smiley and almost always wondering where I'm supposed to be next! Grin Middle aged women are like that Grin - see what I did there?

Grin

""No, women are no more important to me than men just because we have more similar genitals. It's all just people.""

If only more men/teen boys thought like that, when the shit seriously hits the fan, Rape/DV cases, Males band together and Women find themselves fighting their case against both Male and Females.

I see it in lesser forms, in every adult education class, without fail and in everyday RL.

The expectations on Mother's and Fathers are still very different.

When I was a Teen Mum, I got judged, now I'm pushing my Nephew/GDaughter around, I'm judged because I was seen as being to old to have a baby.

FUCK Horlicks Far

(although I do luffs Horlicks)

Birds - that is it exactly - women have to fight men AND each other. In SO many situations

women who level the term slut/slag/tart/whore at other women.

I judge you in the negative. fuck the fuck off with that.

If the best insult that you can fathom is to berate a woman due to having sampled more than her fair share of dick then I think you're a massive cock. Smile

Wideopenspace · 11/07/2015 21:35

Yes, lemonade - 'slut shaming' is bad enough from men - from women it is unforgivable.

I hate the terms frumpy and mumsy. There's no male equivalents. I reserve the right to wear comfortable shoes and have low mainentance hair - don't judge me!

Wideopenspace · 11/07/2015 21:47

Ah, but Hobbes you are woman, therefore you shall be JUDGED.

Oh dear No! I still don't understand what this thread is about.

Am going to have to hide it.

Barefoot789 · 11/07/2015 22:04

I agree that sometimes when I've read one or two of the recent threads on feminism and feminist issues I've thought Christ if only we could stop fighting amongst ourselves we might get somewhere!!

Birdsgottafly · 11/07/2015 22:09

My understanding of the thread is "everyday sexism".

I used to have "Scouse Girl problems" post Memes on my FB, this is Female run. I unfollowed, when it had a picture of a Woman with hotdogs in her mouth and the caption, " You may have bagged yourself a bloke, so think you're all respecable in a relationship, but you'll always be known as a sausage gobbler, you silly tart".

I've noticed they've got more and more sexist, they actually use Coleen Rooney's image.

Wideopenspace · 11/07/2015 22:11

Everday sexism is just right.

Wow, to the Scouse Girl thing! Shock

I don't think you have to support everything women do regardless - I guess my point is that women are STILL far from equal in today's society and that I think we do ourselves no favours by constantly judging each other's choices

^ this, in spades. I try not to think too deeply about it all or it would infuriate me, because the lack of female solidarity is astonishing.

The WOHM vs SAHM debates (ridiculous in the extreme)
Breastfeeding (done to absolute death)

& should a woman dare to want to do a bit more for her grown offspring because she CAN & wants to, she's moved to "silly little woman" mode "your DCs are 18 & want to live at home for a bit after Uni?!!! When I was at Uni I held down 3 JOBS & still got a degree, & I didnt move back in with my parents oh no, I moved straight into a flat with 3 mates and life was brilliant, & my DCs aren't coming home after Uni they held down 3 jobs...ad infinitum". I don't even understand this"I flung them out of the nest before you "competitiveness

I agree the slutshaming thing is beyond the pale. Women who do it tend to be the type who smugly define themselves by what men think of them (uh oh Im judging

derxa · 12/07/2015 09:46

Women judging other women about abortion is the ultimate judgement. No one judges the man.
For many women life seems to be a competition against other women in every arena. That's why I like sport, you either win or you don't and there are clear rules.

Wideopenspace · 12/07/2015 10:56

Derxa - the abortion issue is a massive one, yes. YOu know what? I'd never thought the 'no one judges the man' sentence to myself. But they don't, do they?

Mistress - it is infuriating, it is impossible, seemingly for women to make choices either way in most situations without judgements that simply would never happen to a man. Top of her career? But what about her children? Stayed at home? But how will her children aspire to anything?.

Sheesh...
