to think peppa pig is pure evil

Peppa pig depicts a wholly sexist and class based society. Wild male carnivores form the upper class (dr bear), domestic animals form the middle class (daddy pig, ms sheep etc) and wild herbivores form the working class. This injustice is best illustrated with ms rabbit who is forced to work multiple low paid jobs, lives in sub quality housing and can only afford raw carrots to eat.

will someone please think of the children?

i also have it in for Octonauts and Doc McStuffins.

Peppa has got two different voices. I like the one that sounds like she's got a cold.

DoTheDuckFace · 11/07/2015 21:03

I hate peppa and also think she is rude and spoilt. I hate the episode where mummy pig is working and poppa wants to play happy Mrs chicken. Mummy says later, then peppa breaks the computer and then peppa gets to play after all.

CrapBag · 11/07/2015 22:18

Peppa is a spoilt madam and gets on my tits.

Nanny Plum is brilliant! I love her and the Wise Old Elf. I regularly ask DD if she wants to watch Ben and Holly so I can watch it too.

ENormaSnob · 11/07/2015 22:33

Peppa is a porcine cunt

slightlyconfused85 · 11/07/2015 22:33

My dd has just started to love Ben and Holly more than Peppa- hurrah! Although o can't diss the piggies for the peace they have given me over the last year or so

notquitehuman · 12/07/2015 00:35

To the poster who hates the Peppa tune -- never, ever go to Peppa Pig World. They play the damn theme tune on a loop allllllll day. Oh my god.

molyholy · 12/07/2015 00:43

I also feel sorry for him having to deal with those passive aggressive in-laws. They obviously thought their daughter married down

This haha

poor daddy pig always having to prove himself. Whenever they get into a spot of bother mummy pig always calls the parents. Daddy pig is always saying 'no don't call them I can deal with it', but she always does.

Lets hear it for Pingu whose little feet slap down on the snow in such a charming fashion.

TheEagle · 12/07/2015 03:29

I'd like to see Nanny Plum and the Wise Old Elf get together Grin

I try to put a Ben and Holly DVD on occasionally but DS1 makes a face like his world has just crumbled so it's back to piggy land for us.

icclemunchy · 12/07/2015 03:39

PP is banned in this house!!

Also Justin fletcher is omnipresent

sugartees · 12/07/2015 03:49

Eagle
I like to think they already have and that's the reason they're so standoffish with each other Grin

spatchcock · 12/07/2015 04:45

TheEagle

There was a thread here a while back where the sexual tension between the elf and Nanny Plum was discussed at length!

I quite like Peppa. I think she has character. I hate how Daddy Pig is fat shamed though, he's a good sort, if a bit pompous.

Longtalljosie · 12/07/2015 06:14

There's quite a sweet article about this in Esquire:

www.esquire.co.uk/culture/features/6519/has-peppa-pig-got-fatherhood-spot-on/

Which nails the myth that somehow Peppa is some kind of conspiracy to belittle men. To summarise, the writing team are all blokes, and fathers, and feel more comfortable taking the piss out of their own foibles than their wives'.

TheEagle · 12/07/2015 07:11

Oh I'm sorry I missed that spatchcock!

redautumnleaves · 12/07/2015 07:20

Love love love Nanny Plum.

OhEmGeee · 12/07/2015 07:42

Love Ben and Holly, I'm always trying to persuade DS to watch it.

guineapig1 · 12/07/2015 07:55

Yanbu.

I have it in for postman pat. He is always coming to the rescue and saving the day. Invariably however the "situation" has been caused or contributed to by his incompetence or negligence. He is always going off on a frolic and I'm sure he doesn't have have permits for the all manner of dangerous goods/animals he transports about in his various vehicles. Any employer would have sacked him by now.
Also, he doesn't appear to have any other clothes aside from his uniform and ALWAYS wears his hat and jacket even in the height of summer.

OhEmGeee · 12/07/2015 08:40

And it takes him a whole day to deliver one parcel on special delivery. And who needs a helicopter for one village anyway?

woolymum · 12/07/2015 09:07

yanbu.
pp gives me the rage.
i have a selective tv that avoids the majority of this crap.

Jo4040 · 12/07/2015 09:51

Sexual tension between nanny plum and the wise old elf? HAHAHAHA. Ill be watching out for those 'come to bed eyes'...

Eminybob · 12/07/2015 10:23

I think if nanny plum was going to get it on with anyone it would be that pirate elf that's always trying it on with her. Not the wise old elf, no way!

I am also slightly over invested in peppa and Ben and holly.

You'll never see nanny plum and miss rabbit in the same room Wink

TheEagle · 12/07/2015 10:29

Nanny Plum and Miss Rabbit have a similar work ethic that I admire Smile
