AIBU?

To put red bull in the base of the school's punch bowl at the summer fair?

I am NEVER getting roped into anything again! It's the summer fair shortly and I got collared by the PTA queen bee and I found myself agreeing to staff the beer tent. It's an all day job, and last year the tent was sweltering and full of wasps. Sad

This year she's decided that on top of the very specific requests for various spirits ("oh be a darling and ask Clare to bring a couple of bottles of gin") we need a fruit punch for the kids rather than fruit shoots etc, because punch is more healthy and less waste. She's got a point about the waste admittedly.

This thankless task has fallen to me. WIBU to throw in gallons of redbull and just see what happens?Hmm

I thought red bull was banned for sale to children. If it isn't it bloody should be.

Yep that much caffeine could be dangerous. Might be best to balance out with some vodka? Or mix in some of those alcopop things, we call those 'kiddy booze' Grin

Couldn't putting Red Bull in the children's punch be dangerous? Especially if some of them are sensitive to caffeine?

Caffeine can have some nasty side effects and there's no way you can know whether the children at the school fair are sensitive to caffeine or not.

Just make your hands up to look like a very nasty case of impetigo. That'll get you out of it without the need for red bull in the punch (which is potentially very dangerous).

OP - I think not everyone got it that you're not really serious about this. Or are you thinking of using live hand grenades for the coconut shy?

You do know she's not really serious about the red bull right? GrinWink
