Tenby, South Wales, Kiln Park is lovely. Fab days out nearby.

FrankietheSquealer · 07/07/2015 17:15

tesco clubcard using the tunnel to France

Book a house

often cheaper than keycamp

thehumanjam · 07/07/2015 17:17

Suefla - do you have a link for the Pickering cottage? Thanks

TantrumsAndBalloons · 07/07/2015 17:20

Wales? We had a lovely cottage for 5 of us plus dog for £650 last year

Cornwall? 6 plus dog cost us £700

Isle of Wight? We are going in August- £650 for cottage. Ferry was (I think) £145

cherrypopsicle · 07/07/2015 17:22

We've booked a wood lodge in Scotland in august, through Hoseasons. Cost just over £700

bruffin · 07/07/2015 17:26

European Centerparcs, last week of August

GloGirl · 07/07/2015 17:32

Find an awesome day activity - like Go Ape, a theme park, indoor snowboarding, one of those 'colour runs'. Rent a luxury caravan for a week. Arrang day trips and make memories

Money towards a new board game, buy some water guns, picnic set. Few day trips out to the beach, nice park. Picnic teas. Continental breakfasts - croissants, pain au chocolats, 4 cereal choices - all of which sugary or chocolatey.

Sickoffrozen · 07/07/2015 18:25

Lakelovers have some lovely cottages in the lakes for less than £800. Lots to do for families up there.

velidhu · 07/07/2015 18:32

Look Here - cheaper alternative to European centre parcs especially the latter half of August when some of the Dutch are already back at school. I would take the ferry to Rotterdam/Hook of Holland and avoid Calais

Not sure that sounds like a holiday!

We have booked a lodge through hoseasons during the summer holidays, has cost us £500.

fredabear · 07/07/2015 18:43

You can do a week on a french campsite for that - I realise this is camping - but not real camping Grin

fakenamefornow · 07/07/2015 18:47

Where are you going from OP? is travel time important? And does your budget include spending money?

bruffin · 07/07/2015 19:30

Landal are cheaper because their facilities are fairly limited compared to CP
