A friend had her daughter's christening this weekend, she mentioned it to me, and then I didn't get the official invite.
We're going on holiday in a weeks time together and I'm not sure how I feel about her not inviting me. I'd texted her a couple of days before and she still hasn't replied. really don't know what to do or how to play it? AIBU to feel upset?

We only invited Godparents and Grandparents. Not even our very best friends. It was mainly because we couldn't afford a party. But also because we wanted it to be simple.

I was upset recently because a good friend didn't invite me to their child's christening but invited several other friends who hadn't even met the child. Apparently she 'forgot'.
Hmm

Look, we are having our sons christening this weekend and I'm inviting no one other than god parents and grandparents simply cos j can't be arsed with the party etc. actually I've not even told anyone else. Also part of me thinks I don't want people to be pressurised into buying gifts etc.

So send a nice card and don't worry Grin
