With all the interest in the Greek referendum atm I couldn't help but notice. So here's my lowbrow take on the matter. Seriously, I think he's fit as hell. Anyone else agree?? Grin

ilovesooty A discussion for another thread so as not to distract from the hottie-mc-hottiness (we need a thigh-rubbing icon Mumsnet!)... but the general thinking around the commenting on attractive men by women is that it isn't really as negative a thing as female objectification, as in general when the attractiveness of men is commented on they're still assumed to retain their agency rather than just be passive, decorative 'objects' that exist to fulfil sexual needs. It's not taken as read that that's what they're 'for', in other words.

Grin Hahaha stars just thought something similar myself as I tucked into piece of toast and pondered over relative merits of sexy Alexis vs the Argentine finance minister Grin

Right, where were we?! Oh yes! Sorry Yanis, it's a no from me (although can see why others might!) Grin Next!

Ahh the glamour heh basic? Grin

How about former Norwegian PM Jens Stoltenberg? Again, its the eyes for me!

basicbitch · 06/07/2015 15:15

Ooh just googled - he definitely has something!

And yes, in my defence I'm working from home today so standards might have slipped slightly Wink

solylluvia · 06/07/2015 15:16

Ahem, try Pedro Sanchez. Likely to be the Spanish PM in November....Wink

basicbitch · 06/07/2015 15:16

Working from home in between googling sexy politicians Grin

There are two things wrong with this thread.

  1. No pictures.
  2. Someone has compared fancying Putin (!!) to the perfection that is Alan Rickman. No.
Wagglebee · 06/07/2015 15:27

Pedro Sanchez is a strong contender but then on some pics he looks a bit football manager.

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 06/07/2015 15:30

Putin? There are people who find Putin attractive? Seriously, Putin? He looks like the monster in a Guillermo del Toro film.

Saying that, I don 't find any politicians attractive. If Sean Bean and Clive Owen took up politics I would immediately go off them.

basicbitch · 06/07/2015 15:59

waggle and solly Sanchez has something of George Clooney about him but I'm just not digging him somehow. Curious.

OP posts:
Wagglebee · 06/07/2015 16:20

I think his smile might be a bit fake maybe? Like he knows how good those teeth and crinkly eyes are so he's going to flash them goddamit.

Wagglebee · 06/07/2015 16:22

I googled the Greek PM. Nope! Debenhams store manager vibes.

StarsInTheNightSky · 06/07/2015 16:28

Hmm, have to say I'm not a fan of Sanchez either, perhaps because he doesn't have those cold murderer eyes I seem to find so attractive?!

Kundry · 06/07/2015 16:29

Pedro Sanchez is rather lovely. Maybe it's something about anti-austerity parties Smile

basicbitch · 06/07/2015 16:30

wagglebee hahaha Grin

To be fair it's not the best picture Grin

OP posts:
StarsInTheNightSky · 06/07/2015 16:31

And I choked at debenhams store manager! Grin

"I'm sure I discovered the wonder that is Kicillof through someone mentioning him on here"

hushabye I don't mean to preen but I think that might have been me, on a thread back in January about - fancy that - how 'hawt' the Greek PM is... ^^

[[www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2294086-to-think-that-fancying-the-new-greek-PM-is-a-sign-of-getting-old Politician hotness]

(It's about the 20th post - with picture! Ah man, look at him! ^^)

OnIlkelyMoorBahtat · 06/07/2015 18:54

StarsInTheNightSky · 06/07/2015 19:46

No arguments on the Poot front here lushalaoshi. Grin

Not sure about Mark Carney, he doesn't look villainous enough for me Grin

OnIlkelyMoorBahtat · 06/07/2015 19:48

^ ^ Grin

OnIlkelyMoorBahtat · 06/07/2015 19:53

Although - and I can hardly believe am about to type this - if you've a yen for a sexy Russian despot, I've always thought you can't go wrong with the young Joe Stalin Blush

Hassled · 06/07/2015 19:57

Young Joe Stalin Shock. I'm lost for words.

Yannis is the coolest ex-Finance Minister in the world, there's no doubt about it.
