To be so annoyed at our neighbours?!

Our neighbours are usually quite nice, they have two teenage boys and we talk to them about once a week over the garden fence, if we see each other around, ect.
However, today they're having a 4th of July party! I know they're not American as the mother was complaining about the black Friday sales a while back. They've been up since 6 sorting out their garden and woke my two youngest DDs (3yo and 2week old) at half past!
AIBU to think a) 4th of July has no place here, and b) they should be more respectful to us on a Saturday morning?

If I had a Guy Fawkes day or St George's day party, and accidentally made some noise that disturbed my neighbours, would I be being disrespectful to them?

i'd be bloody annoyed at the noise at 6am, but not annoyed with the reason for the party

Some people just like an excuse to have a party - and thats ok - so long as it doesnt go on too late

Ok, I'd be quite unlikely to drop a grill at 6am- nobody in this house with the possible exception of the cat gets up that early unless there's a very good reason.

Yabu. Why has it bothered you so much that they are having a 4th July party? I get the impression that if it wasn't a 4th July party your would be as mad.

They are good neighbours and this was a one off. Yabu to be so upset with them
