Aibu to want to say something to this parent

I'm in a group on facebook for parents. One mum just posted about how her child wet herself so she locked her in her room. The child then screamed 'let me out you bastard'.

The mum then washed her DD mouth out with soap.

I'm in shock. I can't believe what I have read. Washing a child's mouth out with soap.

Would you say anything or just ignore it.

Just filling in the form on NSPCC now. Hopefully they will offer her some help. I don't think I could live with myself if I did nothing.

3? Jeez. I'd report it. Aside from the physical abuse, the sad thing about this is that a child that age shouting "you bastard" is probably hearing that directed at them on a regular basis. Poor wee soul. Looking at my 4 year old across the table (playdoh-ing) and can't imagine saying or doing any of these things, or any circs that would excuse this behaviour. Poor boy.

Spaghettajames · 27/06/2015 13:03

Don't say anything to her, just report it please. If you call her out you will then feel unable to report.

Spaghettajames · 27/06/2015 13:03

Just seen your last post. You're doing the right thing, well done.

ASettlerOfCatan · 27/06/2015 13:04

I would just report to nspcc. Take screenshots to send and let them sort it.

Penfold007 · 27/06/2015 13:50

I'd report it to the police along with copies of the screen shot and then de-friend or withdraw from that group.

MeowImaCatfish · 27/06/2015 21:06

Honestly, I'd screen shot and report to police, they should arrange a visit etc with SS and it will have been sent to SS within hours rather than going through 3rd party and possibly taking days/weeks. Screenshot any additional posts/comments and keep for evidence in case SS come to see you in future.. Poor kid :(

WannaShedthisFatSuit · 27/06/2015 21:45

on reflection I also think police. if this is what is happy to post about on fb what the hell else is going on she wont talk aboutit.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 27/06/2015 22:55

No. Don't say anything. Just screen shot it and report to nspcc. Yes Fx t is s hoax. Albeit a very sick one mind, but you can't take that risk. We all have s moral duty of care to all children,
