...looks fucking hideous?

The Mumsnet you-tube channel advert over ====>

Not enough cheese, the basil looks bored and listless, there's too much sauce so that it stops the top of the base going crispy, and it's NOT SERVED ON A FUCKING PLATE, but some kind of Jamie Oliver type "rustic" board/table.

It looks gross. You're lucky you didn't try the microwaveable jam - I looked through the door and it looked like a volcano of pink goo bubbling over the top of of the bowl. Ended up with solid pink goo stuck to the inside of the microwave, work surface, tools etc and no jam.

MsJuniper · 24/06/2015 10:55

Haven't seen the ad but I love making the yoghurt/flour pizza base - so quick and fun for the kids.

CoffeeAndBiscuitsPlease · 24/06/2015 12:29

Yes it looks horrible!! It's not a pizza at all.

Screen shot it for anyone who hasn't seen.

It's alarmingly red.

And pizza dough pretty much is just flour and water, anyhow, just usually with a bit of some sort of raising agent, oil to improve the texture and salt to make it taste of something.

ouryve · 24/06/2015 12:37

Anyone else remember doing scone based pizzas at school? Or did that die out with the 80s?

FenellaFellorick · 24/06/2015 12:39

that looks horrible.

SpudCunt · 24/06/2015 14:44

Imagine if you were sharing it and got one of the slices with no cheese Sad

gobbin · 24/06/2015 15:03

Heh that really is spectacularly shit, isn't it?!

bethshart · 24/06/2015 15:11

Seems like anyone who's actually made it said it's easy to make and tastes good.

bruffin · 24/06/2015 15:23

I cant believe this thread, it is a small pizza, you put on as much cheese on as you want, does no one have any imagination.

BadgersNadgers · 24/06/2015 16:47

bruffin Is it your pizza?

SunshineAndShadows · 24/06/2015 16:56

Its awesome for celiacs. Yoghurt and GF flour - great authentic pizza douch that actually tastes like pizza

SkodaLabia · 24/06/2015 16:57

It's not that we don't know how to improve it for our own consumption, it's the idea that it's been posted up as something we should be aiming for!

MrsFrankRicard · 24/06/2015 17:02

YANBU, I would fee very depressed eating that!

mackerella · 24/06/2015 17:07

Pizza douche, Sunshine? Shock

pandarific · 24/06/2015 18:21

It SAYS you don't need to blind bake it. My arse, my friends. My arse.

TiggyD · 24/06/2015 19:22

They'll be changing the site's name to ShitPizzaNet next.

I feel so sorry for the basil. Won't somebody just think of the basil?!

SoldierBear · 24/06/2015 19:37

That is one depressed looking pizza.
I think it needs help.

Poor Prozac Pizza.

Not exactly appetising. And it looks like somebody threw it on the floor in disgust rather than eating it. Can't say I blame them

StarlingMurmuration · 24/06/2015 19:44

Somebody please link to the Bartholin cyst thread! Pretty please?!

Yeah, the pizza looks rubbish. Not nearly enough delicious cheese.

ShuShuFontana · 24/06/2015 19:48

that pizza looks vile, but I'd like to defend the yogurt dough

it's quick, it works and unless you tell people no one would ever know it wasn't proper dough.

SkodaLabia · 24/06/2015 20:50

You're welcome Starling Grin

silveroldie2 · 25/06/2015 14:02

Hmm I think someone was reading the thread, the gross pizza has been replaced by a recipe for microwaveable blueberry muffin - I'll pass.

RedToothBrush · 25/06/2015 14:21

Someone's said that anyone who has tried it has said its nice. I'm still trying to fathom why you would even do that though, given that pizza itself isn't rocket science and so nice, I don't know why you need a alternative. It can be done by primary school kids.

Why reinvent the wheel?

Now Microwavable Chocolate Brownies for when there is fuck all chocolate in the house and its a real emergency...

MsJuniper · 25/06/2015 14:41

Because you don't have to leave it to rise and because it's really fun and a bit gloopy? Or because it's nice to try something different? Or because you're drunk and hungry and have only yoghurt, flour and cheese in your house? Wink

NoStannisNo · 25/06/2015 15:59

I don't think it's the yoghurt base that's the problem, its just the picture of that particular pizza looks so depressing and vile. Why didn't they put more cheese on it for gods sakes?
