Some destinations are only served by certain airlines.
We have a place in Spain and the local airport only uses easy jet.

Trust me - if etihad covered it...

People who have £50m keep their £50m by not spending on unnecessary things like expensive airlines.

You would be amazed how frugal some celebs are when it comes to spending their own money.

Report
Pagwatch · 29/06/2015 15:17

Honestly - I think that's bollocks.

The difference between a good airline experience is minuscule to people with money.
The idea of the frugal millionaire is a cliche.
It's just some flights are only serviced by certain airlines.

I would happily pay to avoid easy jet but that's all that serves my primary holiday destination.

Why does anyone give a shit?!

The typos in that article are hideous

I suspect the only chance the staff have to eat their lunch and have a break is midflight on the budget airlines.
certainly with Ryanair they hardly have time to draw breath between descent, arrival, boarding and takeoff!
Only ryanair fly to where my sister lives so we use them.

Pagwatch, you could always arrange charter a jet although its considerably more than easy jet unless someone else charter happens to be flying back that route.

Siarie · 29/06/2015 15:24

Typing one handy with a baby, ahh the typo's Hmm

Report
Pagwatch · 29/06/2015 15:26

I'm not so determined to avoid it that I will go to extraordinary measures.
But if there was a better alternative I would be prepared to pay more,
We have taken the ferry and driven sometimes. Still better than easy jet.

And, the advantage with coke, is that you can put it in the cupboard and enjoy some more the next day, which you can't with chartered aircraft. So, it all goes to show that she's beautiful and clever.

Perhaps she likes spending time with normal people?

Most celebs look like right boring egocentric bastards, so I can see why you'd want a change.

Report
specialsubject · 29/06/2015 17:18

might have been the only flight going where she was going.

read about her mate in the Times last week (that was a waste of £1.50). Full set of health-babble-bingo there; detox, juicing, anti-carb, the works. One of her kids gets a smoothie for breakfast, poor chap.

not a big Moss fan but at least she doesn't pretend to be anything other than what she is.

DragonwithaGirlTattoo that wasn't clear - if a published article had those typos it would be ridiculous. No need for the biscuit!

Why would you automatically assume that someone had copied/pasted if there were that many mistakes in there? Surely that would be the clue that it hadnt been as even the most basic of people publishing an article would spell check it - eg "sadnswiche" wouldnt even register as a real word on a basic publishing program, or Word.

I'm sticking with the biscuit decision.

and we 'give a shit' because its not classy, or ballsy, but disgusting.

There seems to be a weird media cordon around Kate Moss which means that anything she does is automatically cool and anything she wears stylish. Personally i didn't like her wedding dress and it didn't fit very well, but oh no, she's a style icon.

Ditto with calling someone in a badly paid service industry a 'basic bitch'. I didn't like it when Jeremy Clarkson bullied his producer from a position of power, and the same goes for Kate Moss. But oh no, female columnists seem to be queuing up to tell how they wish she were their bestie.

Oh and she makes her kid's school hold private parents' evenings for her as otherwise she'll get hassled (yeah right at an expensive school). So not so down with the people.

she pouts and is thin for a living. She smokes and takes drugs.

not my idea of an icon.

So the OP says 'Do you sometimes have no choice?', regarding airlines flying from Bodrum to the UK. Are you serious OP??! Just look at the schedules - you'll see there a very few direct flights, BA only fly one or two days a week, Easyjet does most of them......it's not rocket science.

As for chartering a jet - well the flight time to Bodrum is 4 hours or so, so you would have to pay for 8 hours flying time, (a seriously astronomical price), and of course horrendous for carbon emissions and the the planet. So good on her for flying on a regular airline.

But for the rest of the time, I think Kate Moss is a disgrace. So the cabin crew are eating....so what? Are they supposed to give their food to passengers? They have probably been awake since the early hours, and will have flown the outbound sector to Bodrum already that day. (And crew food is for CREW, not for selling!)

As for being drunk, and calling the pilot a rude name.....if that was my airline, she wouldn't fly with us again!

Report
syne · 01/07/2015 11:21

just out of curiosity any idea of the price for chartering a jet for a return to bodrum?
It's or the day camelot call me back, forward planning and all that :)

Kate Moss calling a budget airline pilot a "basic bitch"?????!! While shoving Pringles in her gob, drinking her own vodka and shouting and swearing like a docker, but she's a model who dates drug addicts so it's cool!

Report
Cloud2Cloud · 01/07/2015 12:10

Just for interest, I very quickly Googled 'charter jets to Bodrum', and it's not quite as expensive as I thought!

It would have to be a jet as opposed to a propeller aircraft, as it's obviously a lot quicker, and the prop would have to stop for fuel on the way.

A Learjet (seats 6), departing London (don't know which airport) tomorrow & returning next week, would be about £40,000 return, for 2 passengers. (Don't know if that includes food though!)

I guess Ms Moss will be having to use that soon anyway, as most of the airlines will ban her if she continues to get drunk and swear at the crew!

THanks, that's the first thing I'm doing on my upcoming win :)

Loads of slebs use easyJet.
It's unusual for me to fly easyJet and not see a famous face on it

Report

I fly a shorthaul route for work regularly. My choices are BA or easy jet. The easy jet planes are usually more modern and other than paying for a drink if I want one, there really is no difference.
