To think that if there is a lock on the bathroom door, you use it?!

New levels of madness from the ILs.

FIL will not lock a door in his own house. Instead, he insists that you should knock the bathroom door before going in.

I did not know this rule. I firmly believe he is BU Shock

Who shuts every door in the house all the time? How annoying!

Katedotness1963 · 06/06/2015 17:27

I lock the bathroom door if I'm in the house on my own. A new friend came to our house for the first time, asked to use the toilet and peed with the door open!! I could hear in the living room..

YANBU - If there are guests or you are a guest in someone else's home then door should be locked. What you do in your own home is up to you when no guests.

DosDuchas · 06/06/2015 18:22

we dont have a lock on our bathrooms

NewFlipFlops · 06/06/2015 18:30

People keel over in bathrooms so it's a good idea not to have a lockable door, especially for older people. YABU.

NewFlipFlops · 06/06/2015 18:35

SantanaLopez · 06/06/2015 18:37

We don't even have a door at the moment never mind a lock!

Oh Gwad. I must be related to loads of you.

SantanaLopez we share a FIL. It was only a wee I walked in on, but it was enough [shudder]

CaTsMaMmA , Mum, why have you changed to door handle to a knob. Sounds more complicated now. It was bad enough with the foot shoulder lock combo for lots of people. At least it stops the kids locking themselves in ;)
