To want to ban Friends Lego?

I know it's been done before, but I'm just looking at Lego for DD's upcoming birthday and I'm most put off.

Why are most of the Friends sets which appear to be marketed at girls just so crap? There's a popstar dressing room set, a recording studio, a popstar limo, a shopping mall, a food market and the all important hair salon.

Why do Lego produce such dross aimed at girls, but the sets marketed at boys are so much more inclusive of a wider range of interests?

This is the first Lego friends doll I grabbed from dd's collection. I am honestly not getting the teeny tiny waist thing or spindly legs. No waist definition at all. Teeny bit of chest definition but they're teenage girls, that is normal.

And the yellow ones could go to school etc but dd doesn't like them. She likes the ones that look like real people in her eyes. I wouldn't make her play with a baby anabelle if she preferred rag dolls, why should she have to play with the yellow ones as they are considered superior?
