I've been helping out a cake and plant sale in our village.
One of the organisers has just dropped me off a cake - Victoria sponge type thing.
Parting comment :
"Oh you will eat it, won't you? It's been previously frozen "" l know some people are funny about that! "

Well, l can be a bit strange... So l'm wondering, what fate could be in store if l eat it, and give some to the children?

I prefer frozen cake, it keeps the moisture in somehow and if the alternative is that it had been made a week before and not frozen it would be stale as anything by now.

Best course of action is definitely eat it ASAP so it doesn't get a chance to go off.

You should not give any to the children. Just, y'know, in case. You should SAVE the children and eat the whole cake yourself. Or half the cake, then have the rest with a nice cup of tea tomorrow.
