to buy prescription glasses off the internet?

This is something I've never really considered due to lack of aftercare, possible quality issues, etc. I had seen frames I like for £190 (inc. lenses) in a Vision Express store - this didn't seem too expensive as I've certainly paid more for complete glasses in the past. I had a quick Google and found a few online companies selling the same glasses for £70-£80. Shock That's a big effing difference! I now feel like I would be a bit of a mug to pay the instore price.

Has anyone bought complete glasses online and would you do it again?

I use speckyfoureyes and got 2 pairs for £15 each including postage (and then got cash back on them through topcashback) I recently got photochromic lenses, thinned down, anti-glare, water resistance coatings in a pair for £80 - similar has cost me around £300 in past for my prescription plus photochromic etc

Yet another happy glasses direct customer. I've spoken to the dispensing opticians a couple of times too and they're so lovely and helpful. And I think I paid £125 for single vision, scratch resitant uv coated transitions specs and an additional £12 for single vision anti scratch uv protected non transitions (the BOGOF only works for standard frame + single vision lens, any coatings/colourings/bi focal/varifocal has to be paid for each pair or specs) and the only adjustments I've had to make is tightening the leg screws or nose pads, which I can do myself!! Smile

We get ours from zenni optical. They start at only seven dollars. I recently got went into bifocals and from the optician where I got my eyes tested they would have cost me 325 Euro - and I got them delivered for only 43 Euro. Its way too big a difference to not go for it.

I get mine from select specs :)

I've just bought two pairs of glasses and a pair of sunglasses from glasses direct, delivered to my door in 6 days, for £84.95! They're fab, I was a bit unsure about it but I'm a total convert now!

Glasses direct are brilliant. I got two pairs of diesel glasses for £63 a few weeks ago when they had a special offer on. They were £125 for one with a free second pair and they had a 50% off deal on. I ordered them Friday and had them by the following Wednesday.

I'll never buy glasses in the opticians again.

I've gotten glasses from Glasses Direct and was thrilled. I bought my last pair at Specsavers, though, because I wanted to be able to try them on and they're still very cheap.

I buy my contact lenses from Lenses Direct.

My DH has bought his glasses from Glasses Direct for years with no problems at all.

I buy mine from Tesco Opticians where my last pair of reading glasses cost me fifteen quid and a pair of varifocals were about £120. I also had a free eye test and a full eye health check. I was most impressed.

Has anyone bought from Designerglassesboutique.co.uk? Have never bought off the internet before and have found a pair of Ray Bans on there that I love but are £150 less than in Boots.

I bought my last glasses online too. £40 for 2pairs as I found a code. I usually wear contacts so they're only for occasional wear anyway.
