I'm really VERY new to MN. But v v v into it. But I've only ever done AIBU. It's the first thing I found. It's where I have lurked, the reason I joined and where I have exclusively posted.

I have never explored any other part of the MN site (am I a fool? Are you laughing at me now? I found AIBU totally satisfying up until now)

However, I have just done a post on Style and Beauty. The only reason I even KNOW about Style and Beauty is because it was mentioned in a thread on AIBU, and I checked a zombie thread (incidentally, that was Yoni - it was awesome! ).

But I had an issue... a problem... a worry, and it wasn't suitable for AIBU.

So I posted on style and beauty, which WAS suitable. I was honest about the situation. I told them immediately and upfront (well, in the second, clarifying post) that I am neither stylish nor beautiful.

I had some helpful responses. I was grateful. Yes - I'll say it - I was appreciating the comments I received.

But I feel a little bit soiled. Slightly ashamed.... I went to S&B and posted on the internet. Have I behaved badly, and compromised my morals?

Will AIBU have me back again? I WANT to come back again. I WANT to be viper on a Friday and Saturday night. I want to judge and condemn or champion and support. I WANT to make amends. I want it to work! I WILL change. People DO change. (I want Worra and Welsh to cheer me on) Is this an impossible hope?

Also (insert emoticon for woolfish laugh) what else am I missing????

Do you know, after a refreshing 8 hours of sleep, and waking with bright eyes, and skin that literally glows, I'm thinking.

Have you noticed how shiny the usernames are over on S&B? They're so stylish. And some of them are really quite beautiful.

I'm not being rude, i'm sure some of the user names on AIBU are... um... neat, and some of them are attractive enough, in a kind-of rough-round-the-edges way.

But, you know (and I'm not being rude here), does EatShitD really sound like a women with a recent manicure? Do you see the name FannyFifer and assume she's got a perfectly coiffured head of hair.

And Welsh, it's quite a pretty name, but doesn't exactly scream of sophistication. I mean, if she were to change her username to "BrightLightsofLondon", wouldn't we all have a different view of her?

Worra, you've been on MN a long time. I'm not saying it's bad to be old, it comes to us all. Just a quick question... Back when you first posted was your name actually Morra?

Gravity, I know, is no-one's friend. But some women (and, yes, I'm sure they are the ones on S&B) just carry it a little bit better.

OMG... there are usernames on AIBU which are "chippednailvarnish" and "dirtyknickers". S&B here I come.....
