Aibu to expect at least a show after a sweep?

I'm impatient now - had a sweep a couple of days ago and nothing. It's not going to happen, is it? I thought that there might at least be a show, but no. Nothing.

I'm 40+4 with DC2 and I look like Mr Greedy, but with boobs.

Dance, put on some really good music and have a bop.

It worked for me.. Can you ask for a second one OP? My midwife said it normally takes two sweeps to kick things off. If you want another one that is - bet you're fed up but it won't be long now!

Oh they worked with all three of mine so I swear by them! They were all born three days overdue, I had a sweep 40+1 and was in labour within 24 hours each time. Sorry, that's not helpful really is it .

The good news is you're almost there!

4 sweeps with stubborn dc3. However spending most of evening sitting on gym ball rotating and using breast pump worked wonders. Also dtd before bed and everything started at 7am

I had two with dd2, first at 40+4, where I was told she couldn't even 'get in' to do it as cervix was so hard and closed ?? Went home crying with disappointment, knew it wouldn't work! Second sweep at 40+10, different midwife, she told me she could put three fingers on the baby's head already and that I was probably as far 'in labour' as I could possibly be without knowing it (i.e. without having noticeable contractions/pain). Contractions started whilst I was still at the midwife appointment! Dd2 was born 4 hours later! So, you could say the second sweep worked but obviously only because I was ready anyway!

Still didn't arrive till 40+13

They don't always get things moving...
