I used Hedrin then sectioned combed and liturally picked the nits off, we did recombining and picking every morning till 3 days clear. I am lucky she has fine hair although long and nits and eggs are obvious

I freaked out when mine had first ever infestation (first yr of school) revolting. Used 'frontline' (for humans apparently) was only about £5 or £6 from superdrug (more in boots) - think must be similar to hedrin. killed all the live ones (5 mins then comb out... as is so uncooperative I worried about any that required longer than this) - then have checked and checked ever since and nothing so I don't know maybe I was lucky and got the eggs off as well with my freaked out combing on day 1, or maybe they've all leapt onto my head..

but yes I recommend frontline. I must say though, it's awful to wash out

None of those products worked for us on Dd. In desperation I used the GHDs on DDs hair - straightened every single strand of hair as close to the root as poss - then combed through. That got rid of them once and for all. Fry the little buggers.

Lice can live food free for nearly a year in a test tube. Just sayin`

ghostyslovesheep · 20/05/2015 15:31

Hedrin wont be greasy if you wash it off properly - shampoo first (load of it) then water

ghostyslovesheep · 20/05/2015 15:32

the only head lice that come off hair are the dead or dying ones btw - they can't reproduce or re infest

firefly78 · 20/05/2015 20:00

shes gone to bed with hedrin on. my mum combed and conditioned earlier and couldn't see anything.

The GHDS frying the little shits is such an inspired idea Smile
