Look at the girls school trouser lengths on this link

Not only do they not offer a variety of leg lengths for taller and shorter girls, they appear to think children don't grow after the age of 14!

My dd has been 5'7" + since she was 13 years old. A pair of 29.5" inside leg trousers look like clown trousers on her.

She is now 14 and 5'8" to 5'9". Does anyone know where I can buy some school uniform trousers for her please Flowers?

BHS do a teen school range including coats that go up to 6 feet for girls...definitely not for the curvy... for long and lanky teens that don't fit women's.

I agree, Mintyy. I and many other parents have the same problem with our DS's, I have to buy men's black trousers for him for school.

Well, funnily enough BTM, I went to a school uniform shop in Sydenham yesterday where I spent quite a lot of money on two pairs of trousers and a skirt (£40.00).

But at least they fit! The man in the shop suggested I buy age 14 boys trousers for dd, which I did, and they were long enough! And quite nicely slim fitting, they really suit her.

She was weighed and measured for a hospital appointment recently. 5' 7.5", so not as tall as I thought (she just towers of me! Grin) and surely not outlandish for a 14 year old in this day and age.

I was that height at 12. I grew half an inch after that. We were only allowed to wear skirts or summer dresses, so it wasn't a problem for meGrin
