  1. It's sexist
  2. It's belittling
  3. No woman should be stopped from exercising by crap like this.

I just think of Duracell bunny presumed it was to do with that perseverance type motion Confused

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 17/05/2015 20:43

Is this a TAAT?
I always thought gym bunny could be make it female. I don't think I've ever used the term myself, but thought of it in the Duracell Bunny type of way. Lots of energy, keeps on going.

I go to lots of gym classes and I am crap. Fat and ungainly. but trying hard. I think I'm so sad that I would be quite pleased if anyone ever referred to me as a gym Bunny. ..

treaclesoda · 17/05/2015 20:45

I thought it was a compliment.

Have I misunderstood it? I'm always learning stuff on mumsnet and now I'm a bit worried that I've inadvertently insulted people Blush

TalkinPeace · 17/05/2015 21:04

I'm proud of being a gym bunny.

donemekmelarf · 17/05/2015 21:06

Lets ban everything and be done with it.
I know, lets ban the word ban while we're at it - that would solve a LOT of problems.

I used to call myself a gym bumny. Now I prefer Gym Rat, because I am small but scary:

I'm not entirely sure what gym bunny means but I'd definitely vote to outlaw "happy bunny", hate that with a passion

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 17/05/2015 21:53

I am a couch potato.

DoMeDon · 17/05/2015 21:54

Keep all daft expressions, helps identify people to avoid

SylvaniansAtEase · 17/05/2015 22:00

To me it implies someone who is all super fit, super bouncy, in all the classes, potentially completely irritatingly PERFECT and toned and full of bunny-like bouncing energy. Male or female, definitely. Makes you tired just looking at them and probably talks about what they do at the gym ALL THE TIME.

Nothing to do with bunny girls or playboy bunny at all. Definitely more Duracell.

Fatmomma99 · 17/05/2015 22:37

Thinking of doing a namechange.....

FunnysInLaJardin · 17/05/2015 22:41

its naff. No need for any further explanation prior to the WW ban IMHO
