Loading them off the trolley near the freezer, dropping them on to the shop floor then using his foot to flaten them down. So his shoed foot that has walked on many walkways, pavement etc.
I though it was quite disgusting. I want to mention to the manager although me and this worker already have a dislike for each other (another story) also I see him a lot as he lives near me.
Just thought it was rank or am I being ott.

This is enforced by our (supermarket) customers in their codes of practice and when they audit the factory.

Its not enforced once they get to the supermarket storage or stores.

And it all comes back to the shoe...I think I'll have to tell them.

By stamping on the bag he might make a hole so all the crap from his shoe gets to the ice Envy

Kissme at least your co-op staff seem to do something - our local one they just seem to hang about gossiping whilst ignoring customers and not restocking the shelves.

There was an interesting bit on Breakfast this morning with the new CEO who said they are going to have to spend circa £300m a year for the foreseeable to sort out all the companies in the group as its been pretty much left to rot.

I'd tell them kissmethere. I'm amazed by all the replies that say otherwise. I realise packaging is unlikely to be pristine, but they should at least be doing as much as they reasonably can to minimise contamination.

TrixLestrange · 13/05/2015 16:21

I've previously worked in a co-op, stamping on ice is the least of your worries I can assure you. Plus I think you would find fault with this poor worker whatever he does!

kissmethere · 13/05/2015 16:50

Yes I'll tell them. I know things go on that we don't know about but this just made me blurghh. I'll update. Thanks everyone.
